Poi Pinner helps you to easily make collections of interesting places - points of interest, POIs - with rich, configurable annotations, including photos. Do you have an orchard and want to create a catalogue of trees? Or perhaps you are a botanist who wants to make a collection of discovered herbs? Or simply want to have a database of whatever places are you interested in? Open the app, press the pin button and your current position is detected and recorded with highest possible precision. Then you can add photos to the place, and other information too. You can configure your own form. There are plenty of predefined form field types to choose from, such as a star rating, checkbox, multi value list, a single value selector, text field, and an automatic counter.
Key features:
- create your own annotation form, using predefined items such as star rating, simple text field, predefined values selector, checkbox, multi value list, automatic counter
- document based. You can create and use multiple documents, based on your needs.
- you can predefine a custom set of poi titles to choose from, such as tree species in your orchard. This speeds up pin creation considerably.
- you can define and switch between multiple forms you or someone else has created
- form export/import. Handy if you are a member of a community and want to have a unified dataset with your peers.
- custom map tiles urls. Handy if a local map provider has better imagery than Apple.
- offline support for custom map tile imagery overlays. (not possible for builtin Apple maps, unfortunately)
- two pin creation modes: current position, or center of the map.
- import waypoints from gpx file
- data export to csv text file (comma separated values)
